Square Bottle

The poet said that size isn't everything, and if you ever doubted him come here and be convinced. This is a pub and a half with a big front on Chester's street of new bars, Foregate Street. The Wetherspoons concept (for this is a branch of a big national chain) is pile it high and sell it cheap.
Don't look for character here, this is a place to meet your mates, have a few scoops and launch off to the clubs or the curry houses afterwards. There are bouncers on the door but they're only there for show - everyone is welcome. The music is loud and the carpets are wet.
Probably best in the daytime when there is ordinary pub grub and decent filter coffee. In the evening, come here on a pub crawl, or not at all. If you're in the mood for a swift half on a Saturday evening don’t bother unless you like queueing.

What's on offer: Theakstons, Cains, Draught Budweiser , Fosters, Guinness ,

Prices: Inexpensive

Toilets: Clean and functional
